Moscow, Russia — December 28, 2009 — iPi Soft LLC, a pioneer in markerless motion capture technology, today announced the launch of second public Beta version of iPi Desktop Motion Capture system. Priced at under $1,000 with 30 days Free Trial option, iPi Soft's software-only solution enables small studios to have access to the previously unattainable technology of motion capture.
iPi Desktop Motion Capture is an entry-level markerless motion capture technology that literally puts motion capture at animator's desktop. Animator can shoot a video right at his/her workplace using 3 or 4 inexpensive webcams and have it converted to 3D animation. iPi Desktop Motion Capture can be operated by a single person, and powered by one computer. Setup of iPi’s markerless system is not only quick and easy, but extremely portable. The technology is perfectly suited for small studios, freelance animators and motion capture enthusiasts. iPi Desktop Motion Capture was successfully used in a number of video game and machinima productions.
Second public Beta version of iPi Desktop Motion Capture system incorporates changes based on feedback from early adopters, including significant performance optimizations. The software is now optimized to take full advantage of Intel multi-core CPUs and latest video cards.
